The Uttar Pradesh police Recruitment and Promotion Board of Lucknow has disclosed a notification for filling up 46,400 vacancies the recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspector of Police(6,400 vacancies) and Police Constable(40,000 vacancies). The selection process of both the recruitment will be made on the basis of conducting written test(preliminary and main), physical standard test, medical test and personal interview. The eligible criteria to apply for police constable recruitment is that the candidates should have passed class XII, whereas for Sub inspector of police they should have passed graduation or equivalent from any recognized degree.
The preliminary written exam pattern comprises of questions from the topics of General knowledge and current affairs(150 marks), Logical ability(75 marks) and numerical ability(75 marks). So, the total value of the question paper will be 300 marks and all the questions will be of objective type multiple choice questions. The main exam written exam pattern comprises of General Knowledge(100 marks), physical ability(75 marks), rationality ability(75 marks) and intelligibility ability(50 marks). All the 300 questions will be of objective type questions.
The candidates has to score minimum of 35% in the written exam to get qualify for the next level of selection process. The Physical standard test will be conducted for 100 marks.
