The Education Department of Chandigarh has issued a notification for filling up 489 vacancies for the recruitment to the post of JBT(Junior Basic Teacher). Candidates who wish to work as teachers in the various schools have grabbed this opportunity and applied for this recruitment of JBT post. The selection process of the candidates will be made on the basis of conducting written exam only. The written was conducted on 1 February 2015 at many exam centres across Chandigarh. The duration of Paper-I was held for two hours. Coming back to Paper-II, it consisted of four sections viz science (25 questions), social studies (25 questions), mathematics (25 questions) and Punjabi (25 questions). The Paper-II was also conducted for two hours. No negative marks will be given for any number of wrong answers chosen by the candidates. Combining both Paper-I and Paper-II marks, merit list will be prepared. To get qualified in the written exam, candidates should score minimum of 45% if they belong to General category and 40% should be scored by SC category.
