The Tamil nadu State Eligibility Test SET 2016 has three papers. However the first two papers were held in the morning session and the rest of the paper was held in the noon session in the same day. Total marks allotted for first two papers is 100 and that of the third paper is 150. The first paper had 60 questions whereas candidates need to attend only 50 questions. All the questions in paper 1 were taken for assessing the teaching or research aptitude of the candidates. Whereas the second and third paper questions were taken as per the subject chose by the candidates at that time of submitting application.
Each question from all the paper carried 2 marks. It is expected that the Answer key will be soon released before the Result because of the objective nature of the questions. Already the candidates know the minimum percentage of marks in each paper as per their category with the help of the notification. If they calculate their scores after counting their number of correct answers with the help of Solved Questions for each paper then they can calculate their aggregate marks also. Finally only 15% of the candidates who’s names are in the merit list will be selected as Assistant Professors and posted at Kodaikanal.
